"Middle School: Dog's Best Friend" by James Patterson is an entertaining and heartwarming read for young readers. The story follows Rafe Khatchadorian as he navigates the ups and downs of middle school life with his trusty sidekick, Junior the dog. Patterson's writing is easy to follow, making it a great choice for kids transitioning to longer books.

The humor and relatable situations keep readers engaged, and the theme of friendship shines through as Rafe and Junior face various challenges together. The illustrations add a playful touch, making the book visually appealing. While the plot is straightforward, the characters' genuine emotions and the bond between Rafe and Junior make it a delightful and accessible read for middle-grade audiences. "Dog's Best Friend" is a welcome addition to the Middle School series, providing a light-hearted and enjoyable escape for young readers

Middle School: Dog’s Best Friend is about boy named Rafe Khatchadorian who is just trying to survive middle school. In this novel he starts his own dog walking business to buy a WormHole Premium Multi-Platform Game Box (and also help out his family). But as most stories go this all turns to custard as some new kids turn up, whom he just can’t seem to get out of his mind. Along with this, he faces his sister being moved up into all his classes. Rafe is on yet another catastrophic adventure. This time he tries his luck in dog walking to make money and buy his own gaming console but realizes the competition and resorts to ask his sister for help which is a choice he had never made before now but with his business on the line he's willing to do so.
